Okeechobee Mission Trip

What: Local mini-mission trip to install playground equipment at Camp Impact and to do some local ministry. Camp Impact is in the developmental stages and there is plenty of Family Friendly work and activity. The work will vary depending on the skill level of the team but the objective will be to serve during the day (making time of course to swim and enjoy some of the camp amenities like archery tag and inflatable obstacle courses!). All of the work will be outdoors so it is safer social distancing friendly work.  We will be working with the pastor of a local church to possibly serve in Okeechobee for 1 or 2 nights.

When:  Thursday, August 6th leave the church at 6pm, eat on the way, set up, and return Monday August 10th in the afternoon.

Where: Camp Impact- 20 minutes north of Okeechobee, FL.  (roughly 2 hours from St. Pete).

Who:  We will have one cabin reserved for males (up to 8) and one for females (8) and two cabins reserved for two families.  If you have your own RV, you'd be welcome to come and stay in your own vehicle.

Cost:  $50  Each person is on their own to get there (However, we will make the church van available for those comfortable traveling together).  The small cost is for food during the week.  Any meals out, the team is on their own.
